I enjoy working, meeting new people and cultivating relationships in my home-based natural loc salon business. I am often inspired by my customers. I recently got my online presence in June 2009. I, also, recently discovered YouTube Oct. 8th 2009 by one of my younger clients showing me different loc hairstyle videos in the salon.
I was amazed by all the loc hair styling videos that is now available online. I had no idea that this collection existed. It's nice to see that there's so much more information out there on 'how to start locs, how to care for locs, and how to style locs'.
I recommend all my new customers and clients to read this book... Nappturosity! It is one of the best investment for esstential information to help you feel empowered on YOUR natural hair and loc care journey.
Each one of the above YouTube videos has made me think... I mean REALLY got me to thinking about a number of different black women hair care issues.

I think "good hair" is hair that is an accurate representation of who I am. My locs make me feel like me. When I get them done I understand better the concept of true hair care. Good hair has nothing to do with texture or length to me...but it has everything to do with confidence and authentic self expression.

All hair is good. It is just a matter of finding a style and method of care that accentuates the natural beauty of the hair. It is unfortunate that we have been conditioned to reject our natural beauty and are encouraged to assimulate to a minority culture view of beauty.

think good hair is not about the grade or length of your hair, its about having a style that works for you and one that fits your lifestyle. It should make you feel good about who you are as a person. Hair is neither good or bad - its all about the style.

Good hair is whatever hair God has blessed you with! Since we are fearfully and wonderfully made and God don't make no mistakes, then we must learn to embrace whatever God blesses us with. Whatever kind of hair you have, just take good care of it. Your hair is an extension of you. You wouldn't neglect your skin, your nails, your health so why neglect your hair??
